Teenagers' and college students' mental health is frequently disregarded or misinterpreted. Many young people battle anxiety, stress, depression, academic pressure, and identity issues in silence, but they are reluctant to communicate their true feelings.

Why? Due to:
1. Open communication with parents or teachers is challenging due to the generation gap.
2. They don't reach out because they are afraid of being judged or called "weak."
3. Open emotional sharing is hindered by the absence of safe and relatable spaces.
4. Emotional burnout is exacerbated by intense academic and social pressure.
5. Lack of knowledge about when expert assistance is required
6. Many are unsure of who to trust or how to deal.

Because of this, students frequently suppress their feelings, which can result in more serious mental health issues and feelings of loneliness. Seeking support and guidance is made more difficult by the stigma associated with mental health.

Solution

A Peer-Support Mental Wellness Community

Healing Heartz is a mental health awareness and support community created for college students, by college students. It provides a safe environment where individuals can share their feelings, connect with relatable peers, and receive empathetic support.

How Healing Heartz supports young minds:

UX Strategies

1. Simple layout: The main vision of Healing Heartz is to spread awareness and positivity. The overall UI of the platform is set to be very simple and direct. This helps to focus on the purpose.

2. Colors and Typography: The colors of the platform is based on the brand colors (Green) maintaining uniformity. The color of the brand too related well with the vision of Healing Heartz. Since there is no primary typography for the brand, a simple yet sophisticated font face is chosen.

3. Forum and Membership: For the users suffering from any mental health condition, Healing Heartz also provide a forum where they can directly communicate with a professional without the need of physically being there themselves or proceed as they like from there. Since the target audience is students, we don't expect them to have monetary freedom, so Healing Heartz introduces a very minimal membership cost if anyone want to join the community. This will help Healing Heartz to fun the professional cost of the students to get professional help.
