About the project
Problem
Poor User Experience throughout the Hidden Gem of Historical Archive
In order to preserve and promote Bengal's rich cultural legacy, the CRPCH website is essential. However, the prior design found it difficult to communicate the significance of this mission because:
Unstructured and dense content makes browsing challenging
Outdated visual identity that failed to capture the grace of cultural legacy
Inconsistent media presentation lowers interest in archive images
Researchers, students, and visitors are impacted by content discoverability issues
Accessibility is impacted by low contrast and readability issues
This defeated the goal of a digital heritage preservation platform by making it difficult for users to explore archives, the most recent updates, and research initiatives.
Solution
A Modern Digital Archive That Honors the Past
The way that cultural heritage is experienced has been transformed by the redesigned CRPCH website. The new user interface preserves history while embracing contemporary usability, making exploration intuitive, welcoming, and aesthetically pleasing.
How the experience is enhanced by the redesign
1. Projects, archives, and updates are highlighted in a clear content hierarchy
2. A notable archive exhibit that showcases conserved materials
3. Strong branding, improved spacing, and bold fonts create a sophisticated visual style.
4. Better Contract and uniform layout structure to improve scannability
5. Improvements in accessibility and readability
The updated platform establishes an area where:
1. Researchers can locate archived materials with ease.
2. Students are motivated to investigate cultural narratives.
3. Collaborators are more involved in ongoing projects.
4. Visitors are aware of CRPCH's function and significance.
